MABC engages our member organizations in coordinated advocacy to address asset poverty and wealth disparities in the communities they serve. We advance and pass asset building legislation that supports our members’ work and that benefits their clients and communities. We provide opportunities for practitioners and clients to share their knowledge and experience directly with policymakers, building advocacy experience, skills, and confidence. We also facilitate professional development, networking, and information- and resource-sharing among our members.

Membership is open to any Minnesota nonprofit whose mission aligns with our work. Specific benefits of MABC membership include:

  • Input on MABC’s Policy Agenda

  • Advocacy training for member staff and clients

  • Advocacy opportunities for member staff and clients

  • Legislative session updates

  • Practitioner Learning Circles

  • Statewide Asset Building Summit

  • Regional gatherings

  • Monthly newsletters

  • Grants announcements
